Our insurance agency has been servicing our customer needs since 1920. Started by Mr. F.B. Hadley, he knew the agency would only succeed if he provided a reasonably priced insurance with prompt courteous service.
In the mid-fifties Mr. Horton Lindburg took over the reins from Mr. Hadley. As a local businessman he continued the growth of the agency, but soon realized the need for expansion.
In 1961 Jim Banse renamed the agency Bell Agency, Inc. With Jim's knowledge and excellent service, the agency continued to prosper. In November, 1978, he moved the agency to his its present location at 210 N. Prospect St. in Cambridge.
Terry Roesner joined our firm in 1984. He merged his business, with Bell's, that had been growing since 1972. He received his Accredited Advisor ot Insurance (AAI) from the Insurance Institute America in 1990. He is now president of the agency. With Terry is his wife Janifer (Grant) Roesner as a Customer Service Representative (agent) and daughter Tressa A. Nimrick, CSR & Office Manager. It is a truly a family-owned business. Terry is a Kewanee native and Janifer is a life long Cambridge native.
Under Terry's guidance the has continued to expand to include Real Estate Sales and Real Estate Appraising.
Mrs. Jan Palmer joined the agency in 2000 as a real estate salesperson. She has become a welcome asset. She is a Realtor with 11 years experience. Specializing in the Henry County area, she is a member of the Illinois Quad City Board of Realtors. Jan and her husband, Craig, have lived in Henry County all their lives.
